A quick progress update from the farm!
Our apiary rebuild is moving forward. We’ve been preparing hive equipment, organizing frames, and getting the bee yard ready for new colonies. Beekeeping is all about patience, and rebuilding is no different.
We’re excited about the next steps and can’t wait to welcome new bees to Blackwater Honey. Thank you all for sticking with us through this process.

Beginning the Rebuild
We wanted to share a small update with our Blackwater Honey family.
Over the past few days, we have been working behind the scenes, preparing the apiary for new colonies. This includes cleaning and repairing equipment, setting up hive boxes, and getting everything ready for the bees when they arrive.
As we begin this process, we also wanted to share a bit more about our recent loss. The severe and unpredictable weather we experienced played a major role, and unfortunately, we lost all 17 of our hives. It’s a difficult reality of beekeeping, and one that has been incredibly tough for us.
There is still a lot of work ahead, but every step brings us closer to hearing that familiar buzz again.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out with kind words and encouragement — it truly means a lot to us.
March 14, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we share some difficult news with our Blackwater Honey family.
Recently, we suffered a devastating loss in our apiary and lost all of our bees. As beekeepers, our bees are more than just part of our work—they are at the heart of everything we do. This loss has been incredibly difficult for us.
We are already working on plans to rebuild our apiary and bring new colonies back to the farm, but this process takes time, care, and patience. During this period, there may be delays or limited availability of our honey and other products while we focus on rebuilding.
We kindly ask for your patience and continued support as we begin this journey of recovery. Your encouragement truly means the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for this community that has supported Blackwater Honey from the beginning.
Thank you for standing with us. We look forward to the day when our hives are buzzing again.
